The Cub Scout program consists of rank levels that are specific to each grade level. The goal is for Scouts to achieve rank each year. Throughout the year, youth complete adventures based on different topics, such as hiking, nature, science, sports, etc. that lead toward the completion of their rank. As each adventure is completed, youth are recognized with adventure belt loops or pins. Once they achieve rank, they are awarded the applicable rank badge (Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos, or AOL).
